Alien Extraction is a DIABLO-LIKE game themed in the ALIEN universe.
Players will take on the role of an elite soldier sent to an
alien-infested planet to clear it of all hostile forms. The action focuses on
multi-level raids, where players will have to explore, fight against saga
enemies, manage their resources carefully to survive and not die in their attempt
to complete the mission and discover the truth.
We completed this project in three months during our third year of
university. It was our first all-class assignment, and we worked together as a
team of thirty-five.
In my role as a programmer, I focused on critical tasks such as
integrating scripting systems into the YMIR Engine, implementing assets and
scripts for Level 2 Part 1, and ensuring quality assurance and polish. I also led
efforts in bug fixing, designed the loot chest system, developed interactive
dialogue and narrative elements, and enhanced user experience with
quality-of-life improvements on the YMIR Engine platform. Notably, I implemented
enemy health bars, crucial for enhancing gameplay dynamics.
